On the 23rd of November 2009. international Battodo taikai took place in Yokohama, Japan. The event was organized by the Kokusai Battodo Renmei and the head dojo of the federation - Kakuseikai. Some 100 competitors took part - from Japan, Great Britain, USA, Serbia, Australia and, for the first time, Indonesia. Before the competition, there was a seminar led by the Kakuseikai senior teachers, as well as the examination for the yudansha grades. A group embu was also organized in front of the thomb of Nakamura Taizaburo sensei in the complex of the Sojiji temple in Tsurumi.
The representative of Serbia on this year's taikai was Mr Djordje Stojsic. His team took the fourth place in the team cutting competition. Before the taikai, Mr Stojsic successfully passed his nidan examination.
